bachmann. they re going to play these stupid games, but they re irrelevant. last year in 2011 because they were coming off this big victory actually it was 2012. excuse me, in 2011 coming off the big midterm victories, they had some swat. michele bachmann actually, you know, had people listening to her a little bit. now they re in the ashcan of history and they re not coming back because they got all the white voters they could. there are no more of them. so they were operating under the idea that they were the real america and the minorities and everybody else were just visiting, right? that idea is now part of american history. they lost. they re on the losing side of a huge demographic change in this country. things are not going to get better for the republican party anytime soon until they start to recognize where america really is. so the reason i m not
party members voting on whether to reelect michael steele as the party chair. he has had as you probably know a rocky tenure while the g.o.p. won big midterm elections the party is said to be $20 million in debt or the committee is, and chairman steele has spent a lot of time on damage control often generating criticism from in his party for a string of what is seemed as political gaffes. and now live in national harbor, maryland. that is where he is facing what, four challengers? and a round or two of voting? reporter: they have been voting. three ballots so far and the chairman of the republican national committee, michael steele in office for two years, is behind closed doors with one of his rivals, presumably doing a little bit of political negotiating and horse trading in advance of what will be the fourth ballot. here is how it stands right now after three separate tallies, the frontrunner is priobus, the
