Neither Colin Lancaster nor Megan Miller was born when the Olympics and Paralympics came to Atlanta 25 years ago.
But both are poised to graduate from high school soon with plans on playing wheelchair basketball in college.
“I’ve been playing now for about 11 years,” said Lancaster, who got involved shortly after he was in a car wreck at age five. “I got started with track the year after I started basketball. Just one of those things, come out and try it, and I’ve been hooked on both.”
Lancaster says he hopes to compete in the Paralympics someday.
“I’m a competitive person,” he said. “Ever since I was little, ever since I could pick up any type of ball, I’ve just been competitive.”
