Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has been appointed as the Senior Observer by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to coordinate Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and other party activities in Bihar. Amid Bihar political turmoil, 79 IPS & 45 BAS officers were transferred across the state in a significant bureaucratic reshuffle.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh refers to Nitish Kumar as a "restless soul" and confidently states that the BJP will form the government in Bihar in 2025. Singh clarifies that the BJP has no role in the current political developments between RJD and JD(U), and that the party is merely observing the situation.

RJD is the largest alliance partner in the Mahagathbandhan, which includes Congress and three Left parties and falls eight members short of majority in the assembly in the event of Kumars JD(U) pulling out.

Amid speculation of Nitish Kumar rejoining the BJP, BJP leader CT Ravi stated that the INDIA alliance does not exist as allies of the INDIA bloc are fighting each other in various states. BJP meeting in Patna is discussing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nitish Kumar, who united opposition forces in 2022, may switch sides by joining the NDA government again.

Amidst this uncertainty, the RJD, under the leadership of political heavyweight Lalu Yadav, is actively crafting a counter-strategy.
