The flagship Ganga Vilas Cruise, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week, got stuck on the third day of its 51-day journey in Bihars Chhapra due to shallow water in the Ganga, officials said on Monday.

The ministry's response came after news agency ANI reported that the luxury river cruise got stuck on its third day of journey in Bihar's Chhapra district.

The flagship Ganga Vilas Cruise, which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week, reached Patna as per schedule and is not stuck in Chhapra, stated Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) on Monday.

MV Ganga Vilas cruise didnt get stuck and the reports claiming so are "absolutely" false, said the operator of the ship which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
