The state cabinet has approved an amount of Rs 562 crore to set up the Biju Patnaik Aviation Centre (BPCA) in Bhubaneswar. The centre will provide simulator-based and cabin crew-based training and is expected to train 500 pilots annually. This project will significantly boost the local economy and cater to the east-central aviation map of the state.
