(ABC 6 NEWS) - Wednesday is Bike to Anywhere Day and it is a way to encourage students, families, and adults to ride their bike, no matter their destination.
According to Minnesota Safe Routes to School, about 50% of kids were walking or riding their bikes to school 50 years ago, but now that number has plummeted to only about 13% of students getting to school that way.
Normally this day is called Bike to School Day, but due to not all kids being in person it has been turned into Bike to Anywhere Day for the second year in a row so anyone can join in on the fun.
