The House voted overwhelmingly to restore money for a St. Louis police center, but Senate refused to go along.

“This kind of seems like an exercise in futility if you asked me,” state Sen. Lincoln Hough said Wednesday after the Missouri House attempted to override 14 of Parson’s vetoes.

“I don’t like doing things out here on the floor when I don’t know the outcome,” said Hough, R-Springfield. “It is an exercise in futility, if you ask me.”
