Osakis School Board purchases more property

Land could be used for bus garage or tennis courts. 12:21 pm, Apr. 13, 2021 × The Osakis School District will be purchasing more land. The school board approved the $75,000 transaction at the Tuesday, April 12, regular school board meeting. According to Superintendent Randy Bergquist, the transaction also includes a land swap with the sellers, Scott and Janel Baker. The district is purchasing about 7 acres, which is situated between First Avenue West and First Avenue East (County Road 3), south of the school’s existing tennis courts. The district will then give the Bakers about an acre of land, which is adjacent to the Baker’s home property at the end of First Avenue West.
