Was october of 2012. A cab driver beaten badly in peninsula talking exclusively with abc7 news. Several people witnessed the attack walked by and did nothing to help. Abc7 News Reporter vic lee spoke with the victim and has his story tonight. Reporter february 15th just after midnight, 60yearold solomon solomon nyugen was celebrating valentines day but he did not want the full face shown. He came up to the cab saying he had drank a lot. Reporter he had a dress shirt in a pink or reddish tie. Told nyugen to go to geneva avenue and asked for specifics but he couldnt give any. I stopped asked can you give the address . Sleepy and drunk. I opened the door he run away and then i follow him. Please give me the fare. But he attacked me and then i almost. Reporter the dash camera keeps recording as a passenger knocks him to the ground outside the taxi. It was a brutal attack. You can see the man on top of nyugen repeatedly beating. The 60yearold yellow cab driver suffered injuries. Hes healing
