Tautog are chewing in deep water down in Buzzards Bay while lake trout and perch are active in the Res, and bass and trout entertain in the ponds.

While tog fishing remains terrific, trout are the top target for most. From lakers to brookies, it’s the sweetwater favorites which are helping anglers cope with saltwater withdrawal. However, not all is lost regarding salty pursuits - just ask anglers filling up sabiki rigs with mackerel on the North Shore! South Coast I’m not sure

While tautog continue their tear along the South Shore and South Coast, the freshwater bite is picking up with pike, salmon, rainbows and lakers binging.

Big bass and blues continue to blitz along the North Shore, while further south in Buzzards Bay, the tautog bite continues to heat up with anglers easily limiting out with some larger fish in the mix.

While an influx of baitfish has Boston bass biting, the black sea bass and fluke action in Buzzards Bay has been excellent and tuna have been chasing sand eels up through the SW Corner of Stellwagen Bank.

Striped bass fishing is excellent and the approaching new moon should make for some banner big bass nights for those working big soft plastic stick baits or eels.
