The rainfall doesnt cough the entire bay area but we have a line of steady locally heavy showers moving on shore now moving from monterey bay through the santa cruz area up toward morgan hill and out toward mt. Hamilton. Just south of san jose. Looks like a little bit of a break around san jose right now and up through the Santa Cruz Mountains to the peninsula we have pockets of showers redeveloping as well. These are some of our rainfall totals for todays storm. Over half an inch as you can see up north in mt. St. Helena. Quarter inch in santa rosa, quarter in napa as well. South bay and east bay locations received only a few hundredths of an inch so far. While some crime still exists, these merchants say its not the same as it was six months ago. There was a time not long ago when downtown san jose almost lost this as part of its landscape. What was happening outside the App Developers headquarters on south 2nd street had them thinking about making a change. There were some dangerous crimes. There was a gang almost that was involved.
