A mechanic acquitted of murdering one-year-old boy Jaidyn Leskie has been granted bail again despite going on the run and failing to show his face in court for the second time.
In a sign of Victoria s Covid-plagued justice system, Greg Domaszewicz appeared in a Melbourne court on Tuesday without actually showing up or making any indication to the presiding magistrate he was even present.
Domaszewicz was aged 28 on June 14, 1997 when Jaidyn went missing from his care in Newborough, in Victoria s Latrobe Valley.

The 52-year-old was supposed to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday over unrelated assault charges and a charge of failing to appear in court.
The man accused and then acquitted over the murder of Victorian toddler Jaidyn Leskie is tonight once again a wanted man.Â
Police are searching for 52-year-old Greg Domaszewicz after he failed to turn up at Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
The man is accused of attacking someone with a make-shift spear in November 2019 at Lofts Reserve in the Melbourne suburb of Newport.

The former mechanic, who now goes by Greg Becker, has been hit with two charges, including unlawful assault and possessing a dangerous article without lawful excuse.Â

Greg Domaszewicz, then aged 28, was babysitting Jaidyn the night he went missing from his mum s home in Newborough, in Victoria s Latrobe Valley, on June 14, 1997.
The 52-year-old was supposed to appear in a Melbourne Magistrates court on Friday over unrelated assault charges but did not show up, causing the judge to order his arrest.
