Dr Reddys Laboratories has received approval from Indias drug regulatory authority to conduct a bioequivalence study for the weight loss drug Semaglutide. The company had sought a waiver for the study and a Phase III clinical trial, but the SEC recommended conducting the study. If all goes well, the drug could be launched within a year.
