WASHINGTON (CNS) -- In a live morning broadcast on Twitter Dec. 18, Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, said he was not told directly by the Vatican that he has been laicized. Im havent received any communication from the Vatican, I havent seen anything, he said. Im not even being told about this myself. WASHINGTON (CNS) -- Pope Francis has named Bishop Chad W. Zielinski of Fairbanks, Alaska, to head the Diocese of New Ulm, Minnesota. Since 2014, the 57-year-old prelate has served as the fifth bishop of Fairbanks. The diocese covers over 409,000 square miles of Alaskas northern region, or about two-thirds of the entire state.
