The Milwaukee Bucks organization is kicking off a series of events to highlight racism and celebrate success in Milwaukee s Black community in acknowledgement of Black History Month.
The Bucks Black History Month will focus on a different theme each week. Events and initiatives include spotlighting local businesses that received Fiserv s $10,000 Back2Business grant, partnering with EatStreet to provide discounts at Black-owned restaurants, working with MKEBlack.org to highlight other Black businesses throughout the city, examining heath disparities and advocating for criminal justice reform.
The initiative will feature an interview of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist and Wisconsin Black Media Association president James Causey by Milwaukee Bucks sideline and digital reporter Zora Stephenson.
