In March of last year, Classic Stage Company announced that its revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical âAssassinsâ was postponed. âThe production was to begin performances on April 2,â the email said. âC.S.C. intends to resume rehearsals and present âAssassinsâ in the coming months.â
Fast forward 13 months, and the company is indeed presenting âAssassins,â or at least a stopgap event until the director, John Doyle, can fully proceed. Still, fans will enjoy âTell the Story: Celebrating Stephen Sondheim and John Weidmanâs âAssassins,â
