WALBRIDGE — Random Acts has been a regular after-church bubble tea and milkshake stop for the Desiree’ Wilkins family for several years now. This month during their after-church visit, Patrick Wilkins was surprised with the Random Acts Unsung Hero Scholarship.

Huddle Touch was founded in 2012. More than a decade later, the organization is feeding the stomachs and nourishing the souls of student-athletes throughout the country and the Caribbean.

His deep Tampa roots and a breadth of experience made him a popular choice among district leaders.

Van Ayres, a longtime Hillsborough educator, will step in to lead the district when Davis leaves in mid-July.
