Blue Origin Launch News Today

Blue Origin launched its first rocket in more than a year on Tuesday, reviving the US company's fortunes with a successful return to space following an uncrewed crash in 2022.

Blue Origin has reportedly eliminated more than three dozen employees in its technology unit about a month after the aerospace firm cut human resources jobs.

As part of its upcoming expansion, Blue Origin wants to construct an international launch facility outside Alabama, Florida, and other US-based sites.

Blue Origin will launch its next New Shepard flight to space on August 31, this time without a tourist crew.

Jeff Bezos's space tourism venture Blue Origin completed its fifth crewed launch on Saturday after a New Shepard rocket's back-up system that had not met expectations delayed the voyage last month.

Future Blue Origin astronaut Katya Echazarreta said colleagues and students told they didn't want to work with her because of what she looked like.

This is the fourth crew launch by Blue origin and the 20th for the New Shepard spacecraft. Previously, the vehicle has taken Jeff Bezos, William Shatner and others to space.

Blue Origin, which aims to conduct at least nine space tourism flights in 2022, launched six passengers, who experienced zero-gravity and looked at Earth from the best vantage point available.

Blue Origin is in the final stages of launching six customers, five of them paying passengers, into space on its New Shepard spacecraft.

The first flight of 2022 for the company will have Marty Allen, Fary Lai, husband and wife duo Sharon and Marc Hagle, Jim Kitchen, and Dr. George Nield.
