A huge fire engulfing Notre Dame Cathedral in paris, a symbol that has stood for 800 years, threatening a powerful emblem of the catholic faith as holy week begins. This fire burned for hours. Look at that, destroying the cathedrals iconic fire before firefighters got this under control. Its horrific. We had the tower full, and it was the worst sound and people screamed. Its so sad. Everyone is so sad. Visitors brought literally to their knees. Some of the crowd hugging, others crying. Many bearing witness. You hear them singing as the news broke on screens big and small, people around the world were united essentially in helplessness.
