The administration of Governor Tim Walz has announced enforcement actions against three restaurants that continued operating despite the COVID pandemic restrictions the governor ordered before Thanksgiving.
One of the restaurants, Boardwalk Bar and Grill in East Grand Forks is the target of a temporary restraining order issued Friday afternoon by a judge in Polk County this afternoon requiring it to abide by the governor s order, which restricts restaurants to take out and delivery business. State Attorney General Keith Ellison requested the court order after the restaurant operator ignored an earlier cease-and-desist order issued by the State Health Department.
