New Delhi: In her budget speech on February 1, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned that a sum of Rs 3,400 crore had been allotted by her ministry for road infrastructure in poll-bound Assam in the 2021-22 financial year â evoking a round of applause from the BJP MPs at the Lok Sabha, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
