Today, Chancellor James Johnston announced that Warren Lloyd, a veteran higher education advancement professional, has been hired as the university's first Vice-President for Advancement and Public Relations. Lloyd will begin his tenure with ENMU on January 8, 2024.

At his annual state of the university address, University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi announced today that UB has raised more than $1 billion through a comprehensive fundraising effort.

The donation will help UB build an engineering school building and support engineering research and education, University at Buffalo President Satish Tripathi said.

The University at Buffalo received more than $123 million in donations for the 2022-23 fiscal year, surpassing the $120 million mark for the first time in its 177-year history.

Dr. Daniel Alexander has been named chief administrative officer at Auburn Community Hospital, the hospital announced in a news release.

Satish Tripathi proclaimed that UB is on track to become a top 25 public research university, achieve $1 billion in research funding and achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.

The Spectrum sat down with Tripathi for a half-hour on May 3 to discuss his interactions with students, the university’s plans to address mental health concerns and the recently rebranded UB Top 25 Ambition initiative.
