unfortunately, cheryl, they are proposing a laundry list of other idiotic taxes, bank taxes, bonus taxes, and, of course, that s all on top of the income tax, progressive income tax we already pay, but the panel is on to something here. what killed europe wasn t the tax structure, it was the entitlement spending. that s what needs to come to an end. it s not going to. this to me boggles my mind. you go home and have a credit card bill. and how do we fix it? we spend more. we purt more money on the credit card bill because miraculously some magician is going to take it away. that s how they think in d.c. mark, how can you sit here and say $13 trillion in national debt is not enough. jack it up to 14 to get us out of recession? it makes zero sense. tracy, would you not be for a consumption tax if it was in place of the income tax? absolutely. i d be your ring leader on that. no way. get rid of regular income tax and get rid of the code all together.
