Main characters. what can you tell us about what is happening now? well, i can tell you that there have just been pictures published by russian state media that show the defence minister supposedly visiting forward positions, a command post, of the russian military in its war on ukraine, inspecting positions, talking to commanders. the point of thatis talking to commanders. the point of that is to show very clearly that the defence minister, who was looking extremely vulnerable after this mutiny...

Known a couple of days like this? not really, it continues to throw up surprises which previously were unimaginable. this is an extraordinary series of events that we are seeing. its not yet over, of course, jon, because what youre looking at is another week or two where everyone will be watching what moves does putin make, what moves does prigozhin make, what is going to happen on the battlefields in ukraine, and whether the russian people have decided that enough is enough, putins weakness has...

The house committee. lets look back at the past 2a hours. early friday, prigozhin questioned the war in ukraine, blaming russian defence minister sergei shoigu, claiming he did it to gain military honours. prigozhin called for an armed rebellion and accused the kremlin of hitting his troops with a missile strike on friday. in moscow, security is stepped up as wagner takes rostov—on—don. on saturday, prigozhin declared 25,000 of his troops crossed the borderfrom ukraine in the early hours of ...

Distracted by the revolt created an additional advantage for ukraine, and he said, as you heard there, that he believed it had exposed real cracks in vladimir putins leadership. he also made the point that 16 months ago russian forces were threatening to take over the whole of ukraine, yet here they were now having to defend moscow against mercenaries of its own making. i think the point to take away from all this is that the united states is also very keen not to be seen to inflame the situatio...

There was a big russian push in the last week, which the ukrainians say theyve only just managed to contain. you had the issue, of course, with the kharkovka dam being sabotaged, the flooding below and the destruction of the reservoir above, also preoccupying the ukrainian forces. and so we are still at the stage where we are waiting to see if the ukrainians will break through and turn what has been a very slow and ukraine has admitted disappointingly slow and incremental advance into something ...
