Have 220 parks throughout the city and they range all the way in size from a Large School Park to Neighborhood Parks under an acre. There are all sizes. Every one is a little bit different. Of the small ones are in neighborhoods. Some of these larger parks are what i would consider to be a community or regional park. The 1880s, 1890s timeframe, kansas city was a wild woolly western town. A lot of small structures. Shacks, things like that. There is not a lot of zoning or planning associated with that. Public health was a big issue associated with the urban development. All of those things, you did not really have a modern city.
