Around the 50 year mark, thats when you start having some of the big issues like this. Last month caltrans discovered a hole. Engineers knew leaving this would be dangerous. This is not something we could fix with a band aid. We would have to have a serious repair prong. Engineers installed a metal plate. Now they need a permanent fix.
