Writing NSW, the state s primary organisation to support established and emerging writers, is no longer ‘‘looking over the edge of a cliff’’ after receiving funding of $100,000 from the Australia Council and $190,000 from Create NSW.
The organisation was plunged into crisis in August when the state government rejected its application for multi-year funding worth $175,000 annually.
Writing NSW chief executive Jane McCredie says the organisation is no longer looking over the edge of a cliff.
