Confidence Game, owned in part by West Hartford businessman Michael Gualtieri, will not run the Preakness Stakes, according to a Daily Racing Form report Saturday, after a workout where the horse had an apparent sore shoulder.

Confidence Game, who finished 10th in the Kentucky Derby and is owned in part by West Hartford's Michael Gualtieri, is expected to run in the Preakness Stakes May 20.

After a vet check, trainer Keith Desormeaux will determine whether Confidence Game, owned in part by West Hartford's Michael Gualtieri, will go on to race at the Preakness or Belmont.
