Tiger Woods will not be in the field this week, but his presence still looms large at Torrey Pines. Few courses have done more to define his legendary career than the annual venue for the Farmers Insurance Open.
Woods has won at this scenic San Diego course since he was an amateur. His eight PGA TOUR wins here tie his own record for most at one course (he also has eight wins at Bay Hill, site of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by Mastercard, and Firestone, the former venue for the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational).

Joe Buck doesn’t know his exact location and could be literally any place in the world at any time, most likely an NFL game or a checkers game.
“I’m back in the entertainment capital of the world, St. Louis, Missouri,” Buck said in a phone interview Wednesday.
There is no greater sports reporter in the world and Buck chooses to live where he grew up, with his wife and children.
Wife, Teil Duncan, is a well-known painter based out of Charleston, South Carolina.
Is an avid guitar player himself and has played onstage with O.A.R. and Darius Rucker at PGA TOUR events.
Superstitions include never talking about a score in an upcoming round.
Bucket list includes skydiving, visiting Italy and winning the Masters.
Established Kevin Brown Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament to benefit the Macon Rescue Mission and FCA which gives medical care to those in need in his hometown.

With some 80 years of experience between them Sam Snead was still playing the occasional tournament when they started Russell and White are moving toward retirement from their official titles of vice president of competitions.
Russell says he will stay on as a consultant during the transition. White plans to work about 10 or so events next year, making himself available if the need arises.
White played on the PGA Tour for parts of four years in the late 1970s, before the all-exempt tour began, only twice cracking the top 150 on the money list.
