While teens in rural communities struggle with the impact of substance use in levels similar to those in the Twin Cities, support programs in Greater Minnesota are few and far between. 

The K9 Connection program partners students from the Brainerd Learning Center at Brainerd Public Schools with shelter dogs at the Babinski Foundation.

The Brainerd Learning Center's newly renovated building was dedicated on Thursday, March 2.

The last of the 2018 referendum building projects is underway and set to wrap up next August.

Brainerd School Board members approved an application to the Minnesota Department of Education to get permission to use up to $2.8 million for two of the last building projects from the 2018 referendum — Washington Educational Services Building and the Brainerd Learning Center.
