The Brandon School Division’s board of trustees took time out of their regular meeting on Tuesday to remember local education figurehead Beatrice Jolly, who passed away on May 17 at the age of 92.
Even though Jolly served as a BSD trustee from 2006 to 2010, board chairperson Linda Ross said her contributions extended far beyond this one role.

The Brandon-Evansville School District needs more educational space in their two schools, according to district leaders. And if a proposed referendum gets passed this November, there could be an additional eight to 10 new learning spaces – at an estimated cost of about $15.2 million.
