Cassandra Singfield was named publisher and sales director of the Post and Courier North Augusta on Jan. 1, breaking the newspaper out from under the Aiken Standard and highlighting North Augusta as its own market.

A crested caracara was recently spotted in Pontotoc County, which, as far as I know, is a county first.

Well, I finally did it. I got a decent photo of a hairy woodpecker.
