Additionally, DAC combines plug-and-play 4G and 5G connectivity with on-premises data processing to enable real-time applications for smart manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and remote operations.
“The 5G project at the WEG plant will bring the possibility not only of supporting official studies for the use of technology in Brazil but will also accelerate the development and testing of WEG / V2COM products and solutions for our customers,” said Guilherme Spina, director of V2Com at WEG.
According to reports, the Open Lab WEG / V2COM project is being implemented in a real production environment at one of WEG s factories in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina. The implementation is expected to be complete in about a year.

March 4, 2021 - Espoo, Finland - Nokia and WEG have launched the Open Lab WEG/V2COM project to accelerate the development of Industry 4.0 solutions using the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) platform.
