there s been a lot of questions about what sort of security nancy pelosi has at her san francisco home. and now we ve got some answers. it turns out capitol police did have a 24-hour surveillance camera, a few of them, trained on her home. they even caught david depape breaking in. but apparently no one was watching the feeds when it happened. joining me now from capitol hill is nbc s garrett haake, i think a lot of folks are scratching their heads, how is no one watching the feed was the home of the speaker of the house? the answer is simple because the speaker of the house wasn t home, across the country, and when it comes to protection, one source told me, the speaker is the mission. capitol police did video feeds
i watched for we watched for seven years as president trump has been attacked and you would think okay, they just don t like president trump. i worked in the media in this town for 30 years. i got along with these people and now they re attacking me. and what it is, is they don t like conservatives, they don t like america first agendas. they don t want people who are going to fight for the people. i don t know what s behind it. but it s disturbing. they re spreading fake news about me, my opponent who has been campaigning out of her basement had a petty theft in her office. she tried to pin it on me, tried to make it into a watergate style breakin. anybody with half a brain would have looked at her allegation, saying it s not only defamatory, is f stupid. the mea media in the town ran wh it, pinned the burglary on me. it was a repeat criminal, breaking in, trying to fuel an add decision or something like
