The arts are alive and well during the covid-19 pandemic as the one-acts start up. Despite a delay in mainstage productions, the directing class has no intention of slowing down.
“We’re really happy to bring theatre back,” said Lexi Powell, a senior theatre major. “It’s been a while since we’ve had any productions and I’m glad we get to direct them.”
There are currently four one-acts in the works.
First, “A Roz by Any Other Name” written by Brett Ryback, is set to be directed by Allyson Fricke. Next, “Deathtrap” by Ira Levin is directed by Rheann Rodenbur. Third, “I Hate Shakespeare!” written by Steph Deferie is directed by Lexi Powell. Finally, “If the Shoe Fits” written by Matt Thompson, Matt Chiorini and David Vermette, is directed by Stuart Wilke.
