A nine-year-old girl climbed out of a Nissan sedan as it filled with tear gas in an unexpected end to a dramatic California car chase.
The driver of the Nissan, a 30-year-old woman, had evaded LA sheriff s deputies by brazenly smashing into other vehicles during a madcap chase in Diamond Bar.
Once brought to a standstill, she refused to exit the Nissan even when deputies fired rubber bullets and pestered her with a drone and a SWAT team.
But the hours-long standoff finally ended when cops fired tear gas at the car, prompting a little girl to run from the Nissan into the arms of deputies who had not realized she was inside.
