Republicans see an opportunity to gain a seat when New York Gov. Kathy Hochul calls a special election to replace Democratic Rep. Antonio Delgado.

After New York 19th District Congressman Antonio Delgado was introduced Tuesday as the state’s next lieutenant governor, the Democratic candidacy for November’s congressional election is up for grabs. At least two Democrats currently in elected office are considering a run.

Once deemed the city's first living treasure, her work has been covered by national acts like The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan and Peter, Paul and Mary.

Governor Hochul is selecting a Congressman from the Hudson Valley to be her newest Lieutenant Governor.

Connecticut has begun making money from nips.

News of another attack on a correctional officer at a Central New York prison has a local state senator asking state officials what is being done to protect them.

A federal judge on Wednesday rejected a last-ditch attempt to save New York redistricting maps unconstitutionally gerrymandered to favor Democrats, arguing the lawsuit is a "Hail Mary pass" and his Ukrainian refugee father taught him to respect "free, open and rational elections."

When it rains for one party, it pours. Last week, New York's top court invalidated Democrats' congressional map, depriving them of their best opportunity to gain seats through redistricting in the country. Then on Tuesday, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul tapped rising star Democratic Rep. Antonio Delgado (NY-19) to be her new lieutenant governor and running mate following last month's resignation of Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin on federal corruption charges.
