tonight. governor scott walker says the arrival of voting day was almost a relief. he thinks most people in the state are happy to have the election over. now the voters have decided to have republican governor, that he will stay in office and not be replaced by democratic milwaukee mayor, tom barrett. walker is the first u.s. governor to fend off a recall. the effort to remove him was launched by democrats after walker and his republican allies in state legislature were able to remove collective bargaining rights from most state employees. democrats and labor actists gathered more than 9,000 signatures. what does this mean for the bigger picture? it s a big defeat for organized labor that tried to make sure that the governor yes, they had some organizational strength. they got 900,000 signatures to get him recalled. the issue of recall on the ballot. but when it came down to it, he was not recalled. now you ll be seeing scott walker for vice president. all right, so
