Because of the unseasonably warm weather on Friday, truckloads of snow had to be hauled in for Saturday's snowboarding and skiing exhibition at the winter celebration.
Scheduled for Feb. 17-26, the winter festival on Portland's Eastern Prom includes concerts, food and local brews, ice sculpting, theater, skiing, snowboarding and a fireworks show.
