Election predictions are fun and like anyone else who is highly engaged in covering politics, I have my ideas about what will play out today.

The downside risk is 19% based on earnings multiples right now from current levels. That’s 2% less risk than a week ago and 38% less risk than the highs reached last year.

Simply an average midterm outcome would lead to Republicans equaling the second most House seats ever held and would result in a solid senate majority. That by any objective measure, should be classified as a wave.

It’s the final countdown. With Election Day only a day away we’re into the final countdown. And speaking of counting there’s already been a lot of it in Florida.

In addition to losing 194 law enforcement professionals in the line-of-duty this year, there are 111 widows and 273 children who’ve lost a parent.                

Monmouth University polling on The Sunshine Protection Act shows 61% of Americans support it compared to only 35% who don’t. A YouGov poll similarly showed 59% support to only 19% who dissented.

Elections are always about the future. In this choice election the contrast has never been clearer. And then there’s the rest of the reality on the ground.
