MOAB Two men were killed after their Jeep rolled off a cliff s edge on Saturday, the Utah Highway Patrol said Tuesday. According to a statement from the highway patrol, two men completed the Devil s Crack obstacle on the Moab Rim Jeep Trail about 1:35 p.m. Saturday. Witnesses told officials they then exited the Jeep to assist others with the obstacle. Once the two men reentered the vehicle, a loud pop was heard, and the Jeep began rolling backward, troopers said. Witnesses said the Jeep then tumbled off the cliff s edge and rolled over several times. The crash is believed to be due to a mechanical failure, the highway patrol statement says, but the investigation remains active.
