Dededo customer Hiherson Delfin waited two hours. The line, it takes a while, Delfin said. They should do it faster and stuff like that. Waiting too much, it gets overcrowded.
Yigo customer Wally Mugol sees the situation as a major inconvenience. It s kind of frustrating, Mugol said while explaining that his longest wait was an hour and 15 minutes. I m expecting some mail from the insurance company that we have to pay on time, and I can t come here every day and be a patient person. I have to be because I don t have a choice, Mugol said.
Mugol works at Andersen Air Force Base, so he uses his lunch and work hours just to pick up his mail. I work the extra hour in the evening, so I can compensate for the lost time, Mugol said. He said that if he was able to pick up his mail from Yigo s post office, he would only use five minutes of his lunch break.

Investigation closed Dededo, Yigo post offices
By Anumita Kaur
The Dededo and Yigo post offices were closed due to an investigation, according to Brian Shaughnessy, an inspector with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
The units will be closed indefinitely due to an ongoing investigation being conducted by Guam postal inspectors, Shaughnessy said. It should be noted that no Postal Service employees work at either of these locations, as both contract postal units are staffed entirely by contracted workers.
Both of the locations are contract postal units. They aren t operated by the U.S. Postal Service, but by private vendors under contract with the Postal Service to provide products and services to the public.
