Leon Levy Foundation Awards $250,000 to ART/New York, Creates COVID Relief Fund

The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York announced today the creation of the Leon Levy Foundation COVID Relief Fund, initiated with a $250,000 grant to support small New York City theatres in conjunction with A.R.T./New York Relief Fund for NYC Small Theatres.
A.R.T./New York also announced 55 recipients of the first round of the A.R.T./New York Relief Fund for NYC Small Theatres.

Until the pandemic occurred in 2020, many of us perhaps did not realize how much theater relies on appointments. Now that most of them have vanished, with theater and time itself becoming somewhat amorphous, it’s comforting to see that the January festivals are still happening.
