COVID-19 continues its surge across the country and Florida. The omicron variant is driving up infection rates in both Lake and Sumter Counties.

Six Chesapeake schools that switched to virtual learning are moving back to the classroom next week, while three Suffolk elementary schools switch to virtual.

COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Lake and Sumter Counties amid a nationwide surge of omicron. Lake Schools also reported a jump in cases.
