The Swift Current 18U AAA 57âs earned a pair of wins over the visiting Moose Jaw Canucks in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League on Sunday.
The 57âs crossed home plate for five runs in the opening inning on their way to a 9-3 win to open the day. Kelsey Rokochy picked up the win as he allowed only one hit over five innings. Wyatt Harkes closed things out with two hitless innings in relief.
The 57âs knocked out 10 hits, led by Ethan Murdoch with a double, single, two walks, two runs batted in, and one run scored. Rokochy singled twice, stole two bases, walked, and scored twice. Dawson Schultz singled, walked three times, stole a base, scored, and had one RBI.

The Swift Current 18U AAA 57âs dropped both games to the host East Central Red Sox in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League on Canada Day.
The 57âs allowed 10 unanswered runs over the final three innings in an 11-2 loss to open the day. They were leading 2-1 in the fourth inning before the Red Sox scored five runs, followed by two in the fifth and three more in the sixth inning.
The 57âs were held to three hits, including two singles that came off the bat of leadoff man Cash Arntsen, who had one run batted in. Rydell Adair doubled, walked, scored, and had the other RBI. Ben Patenaude and Riley Bowers both were on base with a pair of walks each. Dawson Schultz scored the other run after reaching base twice on errors.

The Swift Current 18U AAA 57âs saved the best for last during a four-game home stand over the weekend. The 57âs lost the first three games of the weekend, but picked up a shutout win in the finale to move to 5-7 in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League this season.
Saturday, the 57âs dropped both games to the visiting Sask 5 Giants. They lost the opener 7-3 when the Giants scored four runs on the top of the seventh inning.
