PAGET SHOOTING: Iced-up gunman s violent robbery An iced-up gunman shot a former jail mate during a violent daylight robbery over a car he took on a dangerous joy ride from Paget to West Mackay. After an 11th hour guilty plea, Jayden Nicholas Finney was jailed for 5.5 years, but can apply for his freedom in eight months. The then-teen father pulled a sawn-off shotgun on Jeremy May, who he had been in jail with and who was also his mother s friend, while the pair were using drugs at a secluded spot on Connors Rd on September 17, 2018. Jayden Nicholas Finney pleaded guilty to armed robbery with violence after shooting a man at Paget in September 2017.

Former NRL speedster and Origin hero Brett Dallas let fire a barrage of nonsensical comments from custody after his bail bid was rejected.
Over a videolink to Mackay Magistrates Court, Mr Dallas made a number of remarks including âtriumphantâ, âleave it on the bookshelf, remember that, when you get your next paycheckâ, âdo it, do it now, do what youâre toldâ.
The 45 year old is accused of possessing 22 grams of pure ice, pushing his case before the Mackay Supreme Court. Former rugby league footballer Brett Dallas has been committed to the after leaving Mackay District Court on Thursday.

Bradley James Hunter Prosecutor Sergeant Marcus Hahn told Sarina Magistrates Court earlier this month that Bradley James Hunter s saliva tested positive for a chemical compound found in marijuana. Sgt Hahn said police had intercepted Hunter driving along Range Rd at Sarina just after 11pm on October 24 this year. Magistrate Bronwyn Hartigan reminded Hunter that he faced court only two months prior for a similar offence to which he replied, Would you prefer that I drink alcohol? Hunter pleaded guilty to one count of driving with relevant drug in the saliva while on a probationary licence. He was fined $550, disqualified from driving for four months and a conviction was recorded.
