As COVID-19 vaccines begin to become available for more people in Kansas, one senior living center in Salina turned the opportunity for its residents to receive shots into a day of fun.
Brookdale Salina Fairdale hosted a vaccine party for its residents Thursday, complete with games, photos and, of course, the first of two rounds of COVID-19 vaccines.
Melissa Holcom, executive director at Brookdale Fairdale, said this was a welcome day for the residents and staff. It s a great mood (today), Holcom said. Energies are up and people are happy.
She said everyone there was hoping this marked the beginning of the end of the pandemic.
