MONTPELIER â Paulding put on the full-court pressure against Montpelier â and the Locomotives felt it.
The Panthersâ pressure helped force 30 Montpelier turnovers and give Pauding a 64-43 nonconference girls basketball win over the Locos â Montpelierâs first loss of the season â on Monday at the Superior Athletic Complex.
âI think we attacked it the way youâre supposed to attack it,â Montpelier coach Mike Bumb said. âBut they got deflections on us. And pressure changes everything, right? Pressure changes everything, speed changes everything â and they were a little bit faster.
âBut weâre a good basketball team, we really are. Youâll see that as the year goes on that weâll continually get better as the year goes on. We played a team that has some more games under their belt, theyâre awful good and the combination wasnât good for us tonight. But weâve been through this before, so weâll be
