Waverly man charged in pot-growing operation

A Waverly man is facing charges after police said they found a large cannabis-growing operation inside a house in the city.
Waverly police and Morgan County sheriff’s deputies went to a North Brooks Street house about 9:49 a.m. Monday and said they found between 20 and 49 cannabis plants in various stages of growth.
Dorian A. Brooks, 48, of 199 N. Brooks St. was arrested on a charge of manufacturing cannabis. He was being held Monday in the Morgan County jail. Newsletter Signup
