kalumba garnica degallo, a 19-year-old art student from mexico. the way jeb and columba had met is a bilingual fairy tale story. they dpirs met in mexico where he was doing an exchange program for school. i think it was love at first sight. jeb was very dedicated. he put his kind of real focus on things. he worked hard to get through school very quickly because he was committed to getting married to columba. problem for the bushes was they had not met this woman. she didn t speak english. and that it was a very, very quick engagement. columba meets the bush family for the first time just before her wedding. one can only imagine the cultural shock there must have been for columba bush. you have a family that has many generations of wealth and connections, not anything like she has ever experienced. but columba talked very
